Current Exhibitions

MAM exhibitions center on contemporary, regional art made primarily by living artists, highlighting contemporary Indigenous art, Montana modernism, and emerging art in all media. Exhibitions are also curated from the MAM collection, work from the collection is always on view.

MAM presents 20-25 solo and group exhibitions annually through five main galleries and the Missoula Art Park. Most exhibitions that are organized by the museum, working directly with artists to help them achieve their vision for presentation and engagement.  

In addition, MAM hosts national traveling exhibitions, special loans, juried invitational exhibitions, and unique institutional collaborations with national partners to present dynamic, contemporary artist-driven projects.

The MAM curatorial team welcomes the opportunity to review exhibition proposals from individual artists, collaborative groups, or guest curators. To submit a proposal, please include a cover letter, artist statement, curricula vita or résumé, and 15–20 images.
