    Brandon Reintjes (he/him)

    Brandon Reintjes is the executive director of the Missoula Art Museum, where he was previously senior curator. He was born in Bozeman, Montana and grew up in Northern Michigan. He received a BFA in fine arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA in curatorial and critical studies from the University of Louisville. He is the author of essays in Anne Appleby: Hymn; Jon Lodge: FRACTURE; and Brian Maguire: Missing and Murdered Indigenous People in Montana. He is currently working on Through Every Open Door: Collected Essays on Critical Craft. He is married to the ceramist and sculptor Alison Reintjes, who is also the founder of Grow Safe: Non-Toxic Missoula, and has twin teenagers, Lauris and Beata.

    John Calsbeek (he/him)

    Curator

    While at the University of Montana, John had his first taste of working in the arts with a work-study job at MAM and then as the University Center Gallery student coordinator. After earning a BFA, John was hired at MAM during its 2006 expansion. As Curator, John oversees strategic planning for programming initiatives, which is a technical way of describing the pleasurable task of working closely with artists to help them realize their creative visions. His favorite part of the job, in addition to hands-on work in the gallery, is meeting artists—going to an artist’s studio to look at new work and engaging in meaningful dialogue about art and artmaking.

    Aidan Dolbashian (he/him)

    Visitor Educator 

    Aidan joined MAM in 2024 as a Visitor Educator. He earned a B.A. in English at the University of Vermont and an M.A. in Creative Writing at University College Dublin, with a focus in poetry. Aidan is an active writer, with work featured in various publications such as The New Ohio Review and Bat City Review. He considers museums to be invaluable sources of inspiration in both his personal and creative life and looks forward to engaging with and assisting any and all visitors who come through MAM’s doors.

    Marie Fahlgren (she/her)

    Marketing and Engagement Manager 

    Marie comes to MAM with a background in acting, production, arts management, and nonprofit marketing. She’s excited to be part of the visual art world and contribute her skills to a mission-driven organization that values creativity, community, and dialogue. With a passion for storytelling and connecting people through shared experiences, Marie brings energy, thoughtfulness, and a collaborative spirit to her role. She believes in the power of the arts to inspire change and is proud to help amplify the voices and visions of artists in Montana and beyond.

    Cait Finley

    Assistant Curator 

    Cait has curated exhibitions independently and as a member of Tiger Strikes Asteroid LA. She has organized exhibitions across the United States and at art fairs, including Quipoin Mexico City and SUPER in the Netherlands. 

    She received an MFA in Sculpture from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY, and a BFA in Ceramics from the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. Finley has exhibited nationally at Art Helix (Brooklyn, NY); CB1 (Los Angeles, CA); and Cornell University (Ithaca, NY), and internationally at Bunsunrad Gallery (Bangkok, Thailand) and Das Gift (Berlin, Germany). 

    She is a recipient of the Freeman Asia Fellowship and the Mansfield Fellowship. She has also been awarded artist residencies at the University of Montana (Missoula, MT), Anderson Ranch (Snowmass, CO), Ox-Bow (Saugatuck, MI), and the Turner Residency (Los Angeles, CA).

    Margo Geddes (she/her)

    Registrar

    Margo holds an MFA in photography from the University of Oregon. Her photographic practice often revolves around the interactions between people and the natural world, from the impact of wildfire on the landscape to river corridors as mediators between the wild and the domesticated. Margo earned her MA in Museum Studies and a certificate in Digital Curation from Johns Hopkins University. She is passionate about creating equitable spaces that build community through technology. Most recently she worked at the Mansfield Library to digitize materials from the archives and special collections and make them more discoverable on the Montana Memory Project. As registrar, she’spassionate about finding innovative paths to sharing MAM’s collection.

    Kay Grissom-Kiely (she/her)

    Curator of Education

    Kay has worked in various capacities at the Missoula Art Museum, Montana Museum of Art and Culture, the Montana Arts Council, homeWORD, the St. James Guide to Latin American Art (co-editor), and as a freelance grant-writer and researcher. While in Chicago, she worked as director of education at the Hyde Park Art Center, Gallery 37, and Marwen Foundation—all inner-city arts organizations that provide art and exhibition programming. She completed a curatorial internship for the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, as well as full-time summer internships in museum education at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Eiteljorg Museum of Native American and Western Art in Indianapolis, IN. She is committed to art and arts education and has an extensive background in community-based arts education, with a master’s degree in modern/contemporary art history, theory, and criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she focused on contemporary women artists of Cuba, and a bachelor’s degree in art and art history from DePauw University. She currently teaches museum education at University of Montana’s Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program.

    Nicolle Hamm (she/her)

    Administrator

    Nicolle began working with MAM in 2019 as an education intern, then served as a Visitor Engagement and Security Officer, followed by Operations Assistant before moving into her current position. Nicolle earned a BFA in ceramics from the University of Montana. Nicolle is a practicing studio potter and served on the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Green Task Force (NCECA GTF), which focuses on sustainability in the ceramics field. She has presented her research on the sustainability of mining and refining at NCECA 2021, NCECA Clay Week 2021, and NCECA 2023. She is currently on the board of the Clay Studio Missoula.

    Gabe Morrison (he/him)

    Visitor Educator Facilitator

    Visitor Educator Gabe first joined MAM as an education intern in the fall of 2022. He was hired as a full-time Visitor Educator in 2024, after graduating from the University of Montana with a degree in Art. He most enjoys cats, making people laugh, teaching, and graphic design.

    Jessica Noe (she/her)

    Advancement Officer

    Jessica joined MAM in 2022 as Advancement Officer. Previously, she was in Denver where she held positions at two of Colorado’s largest cultural institutions, the Denver Zoo and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Jessica graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in studio arts.

    Janaína Vieira-Marques (she/her)

    Educator and Outreach Coordinator

    Janaína Vieira-Marques is a leader in museum education and outreach, and a public art specialist originally from the land of the Mbya & Tekohá (Guarani) Indigenous people on the Eastern border of Brazil, also known as São Paulo. She has been working at the Missoula Art Museum as the Educator and Outreach Coordinator since 2022 and previously was a resident and teaching artist at MAM and the Holter Museum in Helena. In various roles, she has taught art in many of Missoula’s public and private schools and worked as an art educator in the Washington, D.C metropolitan area. She and her family recently returned from Brazil where they experienced a year abroad and she worked remotely for MAM.
