Join us for a special Community Night celebrating Amanda Browder’s Soft Monuments, a citywide collaborative textile project taking shape in Missoula this fall.

Missoula-born artist Amanda Browder, now based in Brooklyn, is known for large-scale, community-driven fabric installations that transform public spaces. In partnership with the University of Montana School of Visual and Media Arts, Browder is inviting community members to help create Soft Monuments: two monumental textile installations that will be draped across buildings in the Missoula area.

MAM’s October Third Thursday is an opportunity to take part in this exciting collaboration. Join us for Community Night to learn more about the project, connect with fellow participants, and celebrate the collective labor, creativity, and conversation that bring this work to life.

Browder’s residency includes workshops, lectures, public sewing days, and a public unveiling—centering craft, participation, and the many hands behind contemporary public art.
