Third Thursday with Linda King
Thursday, September 17, 5-7 PM
Music by Elephant Gerald
Missoula Art Museum
Join us Thursday, September 17, from 5–7 PM for an evening with master basket weaver Linda King at Missoula Art Museum.
Linda King, a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, will share her basket-weaving practice, inspired by her close friendship with Feddersen and the basketry featured in Joe Feddersen: Earth, Water, Sky. Visitors will gain a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry, skill, and innovation that go into this labor-intensive work.
Third Thursday is MAM’s monthly late-night museum experience, with exhibition-inspired programming for our community. Bring a friend, enjoy our no-host bar and music by Elephant Gerald, and make it a date night—or come explore contemporary Native culture. It’s the perfect excuse to spend an evening at the museum!
