A Poetry Halloworkshop

We all have things we’re afraid of and things that fascinate us. But what about the places where those two feelings intersect? In conjunction with the current exhibition On Darkness: shifting perceptions,  we’ll discuss the mystique around a common fear (darkness) by looking at works from a variety of artists who employ darkness through a range of perspectives. Then you’ll be prompted to identify NOT your biggest fears, but your most intriguing fears, and explore them through the lens of erasure and blackout poetry, applying darkness directly to the page (both figuratively and literally).   

Workshop is capped at 25 participants. Please register in advance to save your spot(s). Drop-ins are welcome if space is available. Please note: Kids under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. If kids ages 11-18 attend without an adult, MAM is not responsible for their whereabouts if they leave the workshop or museum.
