Cathy Weber: Understory/Overstory
This is Weber's first foray into large-scale installation, and she produced this work solely for MAM. The title refers to the ecological relationship between upper and lower forest vegetation that expresses the diversity, composition, and structure of the ecosystem. The terms also refer to stories that are hidden and those that are revealed.

Harold Schlotzhauer: Living in a Good Dream
Schlotzhauer is a consummate artist who has created artwork for more than 50 years. The exhibition highlights a diverse array of works from the late 1960s to present, showcasing the continual progression of Schlotzhauer's unique vision of abstraction. Primarily a painter and printmaker, Schlotzhauer also makes sculpture influenced by his love of the outdoors and recreation.

Guston's iconic "Cigar" (1969), on long-term loan through Art Bridges, serves as the catalyst for five artists, Adrian Arleo, John Buck, Jaune Quick-To-See Smith, Richard Notkin, and Jay Schmidt, to create artworks in response to the political and racial content found in "Cigar" and to Guston's aesthetic practice.
