MAM accepts proposals and reviews them on a regular basis. To submit a proposal, please include a cover letter, artist statement, curricula vita or resume, and 15-20 images. In the cover letter, please emphasize the project’s connection to MAM’s programming mission, propose a specific exhibition and tell us about it—What do you want it to do? What will it look like? What is it about? Describe possible ancillary programs that you may be able to provide, similar past experiences, and offer references. Finally describe any special circumstances or provisions. Please limit artist statements to a single paragraph that describes an overview to your general approach, process, concept, and how process supports concept.

Mail or email proposals to Senior Curator, Brandon Reintjes.

MAM creates an exhibition contract with all artists. The contract details arrangements for the exhibition schedule and location, shipping arrangements and responsibility, artwork insurance, intellectual property, and honoraria.

Artists, please consider supporting another year of free admission to diverse contemporary art exhibitions and educational programing by submitting to the 47th Benefit Art Auction. The full Auction Prospectus and submission form are in the link below. In it are details including submission requirements, important dates, and benefits to participating artists.
