Education is at the core of MAM's mission to provide a rich selection of opportunities for people to engage in creative activities and explore contemporary art. Educational programs include art classes, outreach to schools, tours, lectures, and discussions. All aim to inform, nurture creativity, encourage innovation, and broaden artistic and intellectual horizons.
Art classes are available for students from pre-school through adult in a diverse selection of media. All teachers are dedicated artists engaged in their own creative processes or are certified art teachers who bring professionalism and a fresh approach to teaching art. Scholarships are also available by request.
In addition, MAM provides various ways for people to have meaningful experiences with the extraordinary exhibitions. From tours with trained art guides to cell phone messages recorded by the artist, MAM is dedicated to engaging its audience in meaningful ways. Learning at the museum is a dynamic and enjoyable process for all. Learn more about professional development training opportunities for teachers and education volunteers.
