MAM will continue to offer a rotation of print selections from Communities:West III, a portfolio of 52 prints donated by artists Sukha Worob of Bozeman and Andrew Rice of Salt Lake City. This third installment of the biennial portfolio project is the largest yet and exemplifies the diverse community of printmakers working in the western United States.

Cathy Weber: Understory/Overstory
This is Weber's first foray into large-scale installation, and she produced this work solely for MAM. The title refers to the ecological relationship between upper and lower forest vegetation that expresses the diversity, composition, and structure of the ecosystem. The terms also refer to stories that are hidden and those that are revealed.

Harold Schlotzhauer: Living in a Good Dream
Schlotzhauer is a consummate artist who has created artwork for more than 50 years. The exhibition highlights a diverse array of works from the late 1960s to present, showcasing the continual progression of Schlotzhauer's unique vision of abstraction. Primarily a painter and printmaker, Schlotzhauer also makes sculpture influenced by his love of the outdoors and recreation.

This series of oil paintings by Missoula artist Kathleen Herlihy-Paoli features sharply rendered subjects that focus on water issues and wildfire in the West. Each painting reveals a classic theater stage with parted curtains and the main subject pictured center stage.
