MISSOULA ART MUSEUM'S MONTANA TRIENNIAL
Montana artists are invited to submit images to be considered for inclusion in the
Missoula
Art Museum
's first ever Montana Triennial! The exhibition, open to all artists living and working in the state of
Montana
, will feature work by both established and emerging artists statewide.
The Montana Triennial will run June through September, 2009. Students and artists who are from
Montana
but no longer reside in the state are not eligible to participate.
Juror Beth Sellars is currently the Curator of Suyama Art Space, a gallery in
Seattle
which has featured some of the most cutting-edge and challenging installation work seen in the Northwest. For many years she was Curator of Art at the Cheney Cowles Museum of Art in
Spokane
,
WA
, and remains one of the most respected curators of contemporary art in the Northwest.

Welcome to The Missoula Art Museum 2009 Montana Triennial submission!
The Deadline for all submissions is January 12, 2009. The online submission page will close at 11:59 pm MST January 12, 2009; mailed submissions postmarked after January 12 will be returned unopened.

Step 1: Enter your contact information and art work details.
All fields are required. Please fill out the form entirely.
Important Notes: Please submit six images for consideration, these images can be details, alternate views or entire works. There is not a requirement on the number of artworks you may submit. The six images can be all different works or alternate images of a variety of works.
After you complete your personal information and the information for your first art work, you will be brought back to Step 1 to enter your second art work or details/alternate views of same piece. If you are uploading multiples of a single piece please name the file appropriately, i.e. Last name_title_detail1. See next step for naming image files.
Step 2: Uploading your image and completing your submission.
Important Notes: Please name your image files accordingly: Last Name_title, i.e. Smith_untitled. If you have multiples of the same piece please make it obvious, i.e. Smith_untitled_detail, Smith_untitled_detail2.
In order to upload your image it must first be sized appropriately. The ideal image size is 1500 pixels (or five inches) in length along the longest side of the image. Do not worry about the resolution (PPI or DPI). YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO UPLOAD YOUR IMAGE IF IT IS NOT AT LEAST 1500 PIXELS ALONG THE LONGEST SIZE. If the image is larger than this standard it may take a long time to upload. The time it takes to upload your images is determined by the size of the image and the speed of your internet connection.
