
Sketching Outside/ Painting Inside, Ages 12 - H.S.

Students will learn the process
of landscape painting with trips to Rattlesnake Creek and along the Clark Fork River.
Students will sketch and compose on site, learning what to leave out of
a painting and where to guide the viewer's eye through the use of line and color. Painting will be continued at the museum using
both acrylics and watercolors.
KARL STEIN has a BA in art
from The University of Montana and is a certified art teacher who taught art
most recently at Ronan
Middle School. He is
currently exhibiting his work at the Dana
Gallery in Missoula.
