With education at the core of MAM's mission, MAM provides a rich selection of opportunities for people to engage in creative activities, and to explore and understand the potential of contemporary art. Education programs include art classes, outreach to schools, artists' talks, tours, lectures and discussions. All aim to inform, nurture creativity, encourage innovation and broaden artistic and intellectual horizons.
Art classes are available for students from pre-school through adult in a diverse selection of media. All teachers are dedicated artists engaged in their own creative processes or are certified art teachers, both qualities that bring professionalism and a fresh approach to teaching art. Scholarships are also available.
In addition, MAM provides various ways for people to have meaningful experiences with its exhibitions. From tours with trained art guides to cell phone messages recorded by the artist, MAM is dedicated to engaging its audience in meaningful ways. Learning at the museum is a dynamic and enjoyable process for all.
