Working primarily with the mediums of glass, electronics and video, and secondarily with metals, wax and fire, McElroy has created a video documentation of a performance that reflects the artist's broader concerns.  In his recent works, McElroy confronts the issues surrounding human control over nature.  The intimate installation includes the documentation as well as some samples of his imaginative glass machinery.  Captured on video, the actions of these machines tell a far greater story than the machines themselves.
