Travelon Gamelon by Richard Lerman

Missoula Art Museum is proud to present Travelon Gamelon: Performance for Amplified Bicycles, April 19, 2008, a soundwork performance by artist Richard Lerman. The event helps to kick-off Missoula's Bike Walk Bus Week at the Festival of Cycles, celebrates Bernice's Bakery's 30th anniversary, and ties together MAM and the Historic Museum at Fort Missoula, underscoring some important Missoula history, namely the 25th Infantry Bicycle Corps.
All cyclists are invited to join Travelon Gamelon: Promenade at 10:30 am at MAM. The Promenade will proceed on a winding route around the town to Bonner Park, stopping at Bernice's Bakery for treats. When the Promenade reaches the festival of Cycles at Bonner Park, a performance of the Concert version of the Travelon Gamelon, for three amplified bicycles will commence at noon.
The event is co-sponsored by Adventure Cycling Association, Bernice's Bakery, Bike Walk Alliance for Missoula, Free Cycles Missoula, Historic Museum at Fort Missoula, MAM, and the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.
