A self-taught pen and ink artist and winner of the Idaho Commission of the Arts Fellowship, Wilde spent years exploring a private mythology to present invented and vivid worlds, where evil and good are real and insistent. Wilde's drawings are elegant, complex, sensitive, and unabashedly beautiful. Paradoxically, images are intricate and ornate, yet cut in shallow relief without the softening effect of color or the reassuring reality of two-point perspective.
